Field Project Manager

Position Overview:

The Field Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for managing on-site construction activities with a strong emphasis on structural and foundation work . This individual spends the majority of their time in the field, partnering with superintendents, subcontractors, and site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role works as a team with the office-based Operations Project Manager to coordinate schedules, subcontractors, materials, change orders and client communication.

The Field PM reports directly to the president and will act as a bridge from fieldwork to the executive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews project plans, specifications, and schedules before construction begins.
• Collaborates with structural engineers and trade partners to sequence foundation and framing work, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineered plans. This includes communicating field RFIs (Request for Information) to appropriate stakeholders.
• Participate in project launch meeting with Pre-Con Manager, Operations Project Manager, President, and Vice President. Ensure clean handoff from Pre-Con Division to PM Division.
• Coordinate with Operations Project Manager to develop detailed project timelines and milestone targets.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment deliveries to align with project needs.
• Manages weekly PM/Superintendent meetings to ensure timely communication regarding project progress, upcoming milestones, and to resolve issues. The Operations Project Manager is to attend as well.
• Promptly communicates change order requests received in the field to the Operations Project Manager with the specific scope of work needed to draft the CO for approval. The Operations Project Manager obtains cost quotes and any changes to the project timeline.
• In collaboration with the Operations Project Manager, oversees project close-outs and project close-out packages.
