Client is seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical Payroll and Accounting Analyst to support financial operations through accurate payroll data analysis, journal corrections, and salary cost transfers. This role requires strong collaboration with various departments and central financial teams to ensure payroll transactions and financial data are recorded accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies and regulations. This is a 9 month contract role.

In this role you will coordinate with departmental and central financial stakeholders to facilitate manual salary cost transfers (SCTs) and prepare and process complex journal corrections, ensuring all entries are properly supported and documented.

The Payroll and Accounting Analyst will validate, reconcile, and analyze payroll data for accuracy and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards and review salary cost transfer submissions through internal systems, confirming adherence to established business rules and policies.

The Payroll and Accounting Analyst will conduct in-depth financial and payroll-related analyses to support leadership decision-making and communicate clearly and professionally throughout the transfer process with all relevant stakeholders.
In this role you will monitor and track salary cost transfer progress, following up to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Required Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and apply business rules.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with payroll, accounting principles, and financial systems and processes.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
