Job Description

IvoryCloud is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to support mission-critical software delivery for federal government customers. The ideal candidate brings strong test execution, automation, and documentation skills within U.S. federal/DOD/DOE environments, supported by a current Top Secret or DOE Q clearance. Preference will be given to candidates located in or near Albuquerque, New Mexico, with full remote work flexibility.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship: Non-negotiable.
• Clearance: DOE Q or DOD Top Secret (required).
• Experience: 5+ years in software quality assurance and testingideally within federal or DOD programs, with strong work history and references.
• Location: Fully remote, but Albuquerque-area candidates will be prioritized. Occasional local travel may be needed.
• Capabilities:
• Demonstrated experience with manual and automated testing methods.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
• Ability to perform reliably under deadlines and in fast-paced environments.

Education

• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline required. Advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.

Certifications

• Desired certifications: ISTQB (Certified Tester), Agile, SAFe, or others demonstrating testing expertise.

Job Description

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned with federal software requirements.
• Automate test scripts using appropriate frameworks and tools.
• Track and report defectsmanaging issue resolution through to closure.
• Coordinate with Agile teams to ensure testing alignment with user stories and sprint deliverables.
• Support regression testing, performance testing, and release validation.
• Maintain test documentation: test logs, reports, and metrics dashboards.
• Communicate effectively with project leadership, government CORs, and Integrated Project Teams (IPT).
• Support off-hours testing for system deployments, troubleshooting, and software releases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous QA experience with DOE, NNSA, or DOD programs.
• Familiarity with CMMI Level 3+ environments and software configuration management.
• Experience in cloud or data migration testing within government contracts.
