Job Description
Looking for a SAFe Product Owner to join our client's team in Washington, D.C., and help deliver automation and innovation to a crucial transportation sector. In this role, you'll be the voice of the customer, working within a cross-functional team to develop and refine digital tools that empower frontline employees and enhance the customer experience. You'll work closely with stakeholders across Product Management, Architecture, and UX Design to define, prioritize, and validate solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data, logistics, or operations, and a proven ability to prioritize features and user stories to ensure the team consistently delivers high-value solutions that align with business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership : Serve as the primary point of contact for the product, managing the product backlog to ensure it aligns with business priorities and delivers maximum value.
  • Vision & Strategy : Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that is aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Prioritization : Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer feedback, and technical feasibility to ensure the team focuses on the highest-impact work.
  • Requirements & Development : Collaborate with product management to translate business needs into well-defined features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Work closely with business leaders, customers, and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of the product vision and roadmap.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration : Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure cohesive features and a unified, value-driven experience for customers and employees.
  • Agile Framework : Champion and implement the principles of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring agile methodologies are effectively followed.
  • Metrics & Analysis : Define, track, and analyze key success metrics to measure value and identify areas for improvement or strategic pivots.
Qualifications
  • Experience : A minimum of five years of experience as an agile product owner, with at least three years in a Scaled Agile environment within a large organization. Experience with data, logistics, or operations is highly preferred.
  • Certifications : Required SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager Certification .
  • Education : Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency with tools like Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Align, and other similar platforms.
  • Core Competencies :
  • Strong leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies and the SAFe framework.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
