We are committed to meeting the academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of every student. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students, families, and staff through direct services, crisis intervention, and school-wide initiatives.
The School Social Worker will play a key role in providing direct and indirect social-emotional and behavioral services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, culturally responsive, and passionate about supporting students' mental health and academic success within a multidisciplinary team.
Provide individual and group counseling to support students social, emotional, and behavioral growth
Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies for students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, psychologists, counselors, and families to support IEP goals and 504 plans
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including special education eligibility, IEP development, and student support teams
Serve as a liaison between school, families, and community agencies
Assist with crisis prevention and response efforts
Contribute to a positive school climate and implement proactive school-wide behavioral supports
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
Strong knowledge of school systems, special education processes, and trauma-informed practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents (preferred)
Competitive weekly pay: $40 $55 per hour , based on experience and qualifications
