About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel and Policy Advisor to join their team. This key role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including coordinating and developing interagency efforts and programs to enhance state efficiencies. The successful candidate will provide legal expertise in support of the company's mission to deliver timely and cost-effective services, addressing the needs of various stakeholders. The position also requires the ability to act as a senior advisor on statewide policy matters, lead special projects, and ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws and regulations. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years' of experience in the practice of law, with at least 1 year' of experience in legal work related to the development and administration of corporate-wide policy. The role demands considerable knowledge of administrative and management principles, state and federal legislative processes, and the ability to analyze and evaluate complex policy issues. The ideal candidate will have experience providing legal advice to executive-level leadership, working with key stakeholders across agencies, and be adept at drafting legal documents and regulations. A strong background in public administration, legal research, and excellent communication skills are essential. The position is open to current employees of the company and requires admission to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
